Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated Microsoft Power BI Consultant who strives for technical excellence, enjoys creating stunning visualisations and understands the importance of making information accessible. You'll take on a critical role on projects, often delivering the majority of the development days and with the greatest level of contact with the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with customers to identify and prioritise business requirements, conducting design workshops, controlling scope, and producing requirements documentation
- Independently design solutions, including those of a high level of complexity, by converting requirements into an architecture
- Accurately estimate projects, convert estimates into project plans, and manage projects throughout their delivery
- Ensure high quality products are delivered by projects through regular quality reviews of the project team’s work
- Manage consultants throughout a project, providing guidance, mentoring, and leadership
- Identify and mitigate project issues at the earliest opportunity
- Deliver projects reliably within time, cost, and quality tolerances
Skills and Attributes Required
You will be expected to deliver the Power BI components on our larger analytics projects and lead smaller projects independently as well. In addition, you’ll be able to demonstrate:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Power BI Consultant
- Experienced with Power BI modelling, reporting, visualisations and dashboards
- Confident with SQL for the purpose of supporting Power BI reporting
- Application of Kimball methodology for designing data sets
- Confident leading requirements workshops and wire-framing solutions
- Ability to scope, estimate and deliver against an agreed plan
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with the customer
Advantageous Qualifications and Skills
- Prince2, Agile, or similar qualification
- Experience at an IT consulting firm with projects across a variety of sectors
- Paginated reporting, Power Platform, Power BI Embedded, Data Engineering skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
