83zero is partnered with a giant within the consultancy space and IT Services. With a presence across EMEA, they are expanding an already strong Security Enterprise within their headquarters in Central London.

Position Overview…

Our client is looking for a dynamic and well-versed Technical Security Consultant who can adapt to work with a range of clients in a consultative capacity and an IT Advisor in the Security space. No two days are the same here. You will be a part of a team that is informing, defining and building solutions both for clients and managed services groups using the art of security platforms.

In this role, your mission is to deliver hands-on technical consultancy advice to assist the development and implementation of network and cyber security solutions whilst supporting a range of clientele.

Key Responsibilities…
You will be planning the consulting engagements including the planning of schedules, cost, resource plans and bills of the materials required.
You'll be writing proposals and bids with commercial acumen around projects.
You will carry out solution deployments or consulting projects and manage the full life cycle from conception to completion.
Deliver industry advice and provide guidance to customers around the identification and minimisation of potential threats to assets and services they provide.
You will provide expertise around cyber security incidents and remediate a response.
Ensure controls implemented in solutions are operating as designed to mitigate identified risks.
Maintain awareness of current and possible future trends in information security landscape and the impact on the policies and standards in industry.
Mentor and supervise junior staff to improve their cyber security awareness.
Essential Skills & Qualifications…
CISSP or similar qualification
CISCO SDA (Software defined networks) or ACI
Cyber threat analysis tools
Understanding of cyber security principles
Relevant security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, ISO27001)
Strong consulting background in cybersecurity
Eligible for UK Security Clearance Appreciation of Enterprise architectures (e.g. servers/networks/storage/backup/apps/databases). * Security technologies (firewalls/proxies/IDPS/DLP/UTM).
SIEM and SOAR technologies.
End-Point Protection and Response tools.
Border protection technologies.
Vulnerability scanning/Penetration testing/Web Application penetration testing.
Firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention tools.
