Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Lead Service/User Centred Designer to join ThinkTribal. Working in our PS3 Tribe leading UCD team in the delivery of great outcomes. Using your experience gained in the public sector, specifically the NHS, your invaluable knowledge of being ‘client side’ will enable you to shape great design ideas to deliver outstanding user experiences often on programmes of National scale. Your ability to make sense of the complexity of our client’s service and feature improvements will be key to your main objective of delivering the absolute best outcomes.

You will oversee the design of innovative products and services that are making a meaningful difference to people’s health and long-term well-being. Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit an adaptable Lead SD/UCD Consultant who can work effectively in multidisciplinary, agile teams to deliver excellent results for Version 1’s customers in the public and private sector.

We need someone who has experience of managing complex user landscapes and thinks of processes holistically, who, can then also translate their understanding into requirements for wider teams to distil.

You will be experienced in collaborating with users and stakeholders to determine the best way to design products and services, considering both the end-to-end journey and individual design elements. Your portfolio will demonstrate your ability to understand users and design to meet their needs, work to relevant design standards and communicate your design decisions effectively.

  • Must be familiar with GOV.UK Design System and Service Manual.
  • Help define the strategy and tactics necessary to create great services.
  • Lead research and design teams to understand user needs and identify opportunities to improve user experiences.
  • Build excellent stakeholder relationships.
  • Iterate designs and evidence your decisions with user research and data.
  • Work with product and content designers and technical teams to develop connected end-to-end services that meet the needs of current and future users.
  • Co-design and collaborate openly to improve your designs, through planning and facilitating workshops and peer reviews.
  • Support less experienced colleagues to do their work to a high standard.
