Role Purpose

The Salesforce (SF) Administrator will work on all aspect of day-to-day operations of the Salesforce platform at Wood Mackenzie and work with the Salesforce manager to evolve the platform to underpin business success.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance Salesforce platform
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather and prioritise high level and detailed requirements
  • Work closely with release manager to execute, monitor and control all Salesforce deployments through Copado tool
  • Work closely with the Commercial team and stakeholders to create and publish best practices in relation to our products and Salesforce configuration
  • Be an expert in automating sales processes and working with the tools that will help Management and Finance departments in their revenue forecasting
  • Develop, test and maintain user interface with systems enhancements and new functionality.
  • Hands on design, configuration and administration of Salesforce including, lightning components, flow, CPQ, custom objects, and dynamic forms
  • Maintain a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system to understand cross-functional impacts on configuration, process, workflow and reporting
  • Support the integration of 3rd party applications with the internal organisation; Extends third party product and platform integrations and their dependencies on Salesforce 
  • Input into planning and execution of Salesforce projects
  • Perform ongoing SF administration (managing roles and profiles, defining/creating fields, updating layouts, and report/dashboard creation)
  • Keeping abreast of new SF features and functionality
  • Understand the process to deploy updates, enhancements, and new system functionality 
  • Work with the outsourced SF implementation partners (consultants)
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Salesforce

About You

  • 5+ years experience as a SF administrator with technical implementation, day-to-day operations, and maintenance experience
  • Possess knowledge and experience with entire SF Sales, Service cloud and Revenue cloud. Knowledge of SF architecture, processes/flows, testing and deployment, and exposure to 3rd party applications and integrations
  • SF admin and/or developer/app builder certifications
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ (preferable)
  • Deep understanding of SF (both Sales and Service Cloud) technical requirements, system configuration
  • Experience in project management or business analysis (desirable)
  • Experience with unit testing, deploying from SF sandbox environments, and familiar with common software development practices and methodologies (Copado)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
