Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time

As theLeadStructural Designer, you will:?

  • Have strongexperience performing studies,FEED,and detail design of structural fabrications in an EPC environment or client role.
  • Be technically competent in own discipline and activelymaintainsown competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.
  • Have experience of working in a brownfield environment.
  • Liaise closely with other disciplines to ensure all equipment requirements are addressed in the design, specification of equipment, construction sequencing and commissioning.
  • Be experiencedin producing and design checking structural arrangement drawings.
  • Provide value adding knowledge to constructability reviews and take consideration of layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety,utilities,and maintainability.

About You

Youllhave experience of:

  • Theoffshore and onshore gas business but similar transferrable industries skills will be also considered in leu of specific O&G experience.
  • Leading a team of engineers and coordinating work tasks to achieve required plan dates or be a senior / principal designer looking for a step up in their career.
  • Managing design team budgets, produce scope estimates and recognising and controlling scope change.
  • Producingand design checking structural detail drawings.
  • Civilsdesign.
  • Primary and secondary structural designs.
  • Designing lifting arrangements and development of installation routes.
  • Producingand designingchecking deliverables that conform to all applicable industry engineering codes and standards as well as the clients policies and proceduresrelativeto the equipment being specified. Sound knowledge of relevant commonly used codes thereforerequired.
  • Generating and designing checking 3D models using Plant 3D.
  • Producing and designing checking installation sequence drawings, lifting arrangement drawings and weight control reports.
  • Microsoft packages, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Plant 3D essential.

Qualifications

  • HNC in relevant engineering discipline
  • Previousdemonstrable experience in detailed design and design checking
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant oil and gas industry codes and standards
  • Understanding of all engineering disciplines
  • Highly competent in the use of Autodesk design products
  • Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS
  • Experience in managing and developing others
  • MIST
  • Excellent written and spoken English
