Learning & Development Specialist / Legal IT Trainer
My Yorkshire based client is looking to recruit an experienced IT Trainer / Learning and Development Specialist to provide both IT Training and also soft skills training solutions ensuring that all colleagues are trained and supported in a range of appropriate software packages to enable them to work efficiently and effectively in their roles.
As Learning and Development Specialist you will be tasked with ultimately developing and delivering and effective learning and development strategy firmwide.
More specifically, the successful candidate will :
• Deliver and/or facilitate internal training, learning and development solutions firmwide
• Review current training solutions in order to identify where improvements can be made
• Organise and conduct appropriate induction sessions
• Ensure that the firm obtains best value from its Learning Management System (LMS) and that colleagues record all aspects of learning and development in the LMS
• Engage with key business users stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes for training and development solutions
• Devise training plans and materials for key training priorities e.g. IT software roll-out etc
• Identify the most appropriate delivery methods for training to maintain awareness
• Support the HR Director to deliver effective and appropriate learning solutions
• Propose and implement ways in which the longer-term role of learning and development can support the future development and growth of the firm and how this might maximise future commercial opportunities e.g. Management Development programmes or initiatives etc
• Maintain accurate records for compliance and evaluation purposes
• Train the trainer
• Design, organise and implement a Training Strategy for the firm, establishing appropriate timescales
As Learning & Development Specialist you will be able to demonstrate relevant experience within the professional services sector, Candidates who have worked within the legal sector would be of specific interest.
Technically, the chosen candidate will possess proven IT skills ideally with a working knowledge of a case management system, an LMS and / or HR systems
Candidates must be mobile and be prepared to travel throughout the Yorkshire area on a regular basis.
