Job title: Legacy OfficerJob reference number: RB115Contract: Permanent, full time, 35 hours per week (flexible working available)Location: Kings Hill or London based, hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week in the office)Salary: £27,720 - £34,500 per annum (depending on experience)Are you looking for a unique Legacy Administration/Legacy Officer position, in a team which handled over £22.5m in gifts last year?We’re looking for a talented Legacy Officer or a budding Legacy Support Administrator, looking to become a Legacy Officer to join our Legacies Team at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).What you’ll doAt CAF, every one of us contributes to our impact, and as our Legacy Officer you too will play an integral part in what we do.The CAF Legacy Team provides a service through which donors can simplify their legacy giving, by naming CAF in their Will and having us onward grant funds to their chosen charities. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to facilitate gifts to charities throughout the UK and around the world.We are looking for a Legacy Officer to join the team to support with the administration of straightforward gifts left to CAF, respond to client enquiries, liaise with executors, and be responsible for accurate record keeping and filing with respect to all legacy cases that we handle.As our Legacy Officer you will:Manage the administration of legacy gifts, both pecuniary and residuary legacies, but also have some exposure to more complex residuary gifts. This will include liaising with executors to collate required informationManage the onward granting process, ensuring fees are calculated and deducted properly and funds are disbursed in line with client wishesReview Deeds of Variation and other draft documents from clients to ensure they are fit for purposeProvide support to the Legacy Manager for complex cases, including representing the Legacy Team at internal and external meetingsContribute to business development, by preparing and delivering presentations to Will writers, estate planners etc.Support the wider Private Client team as required, by supporting with expertise when clients have legacy giving plansOther support to the Legacy Manager as requiredWho you’ll beThis role is for you if you have experience of working in legacy administration, legacy management or have a Wills and Probate legal background and are keen to make a difference to society.
