Job Description

White Horse Employment are pleased to be supporting a top 100 UK law firm with their search for a Legal Assistant to join the team at either their Bath or Bristol site. This is a brand new position being brought in to provide all round administrative support to their Corporate team and ensure the department is able to function efficiently and to their full potential.

Day to day the role will include providing administrative support to fee earners and the wider team, whilst being first point of contact for all correspondence with clients and ensuring all work complies with the firms policies and procedures.



The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing all administrative support including filing, taking phone calls, photocopying, managing inboxes, opening new files on CRM system and ensuring all existing details are up to date, online portal management and handling post.
  • Being the first point of contact for clients as required via telephone, email, letter and face to face.
  • Ensuring an excellent understanding of firm policies and processes, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and security data protection etc.
  • Providing an excellent, professional client service across all forms of communication.
  • Assisting with basic legal processes such as arranging meetings with clients, arranging funding, liaising with third parties (such as agents, referrers, solicitors etc) and drafting documents.
  • Building excellent working relationships with the wider team, clients and third parties.


Experience required:

  • Strong administration experience in a previous position.
  • Previous experience working within a legal environment in a Legal Assistant or Administration role.
  • Excellent organisation skills and professionalism.
  • Client service focused with excellent presentation in a professional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
