We're currently seeking an experienced individual to join us in London on a staff basis as a Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will have 3-5+ years PQE and experience working on infrastructure, energy, O&G, Construction or Petrochemical projects. This is a key role for us as we scale our team to take on this project and will have significant responsibility, offering an opportunity to progress and accelerate the candidate's knowledge & career progression.

Profile

  • Qualified to practice law in the UK
  • 3-5+ years PQE gained either in-house or private practice
  • Infrastructure, O&G, Renewable Energy, Construction or Petrochemical experience
  • Experience working independently - drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts & agreements
  • Knowledge of UK legal system and ability to develop further to support business operations
  • Ability to articulate legal and contractual risks for management


Responsibilities

  • Independently draft, review, negotiate and/or close various agreements like NDAs, terms for procurement of services or supplies, MoUs, Term-sheets etc
  • Independently manage contractual correspondence with counterparties in different kinds of contracts
  • Support the team in the closure of complex engineering and license agreements including EPC Contracts
  • Provide general legal and compliance support to the business in areas such as employment law, data protection, corporate law, property related issues etc
  • Advise the management on risks and potential opportunities related to the above
  • Coordinate with and supervise a variety of external legal advisors
  • Interface with various internal business units (Finance, Procurement, Accounting, Regulatory, Intellectual Property, etc.) to ensure contractual documents are drafted correctly
