Job Description
- Provide legal advice on a broad range of industrial legal matters
- Identify and manage legal risks within the business
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal compliance programs
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure legal compliance across the company
- Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures
- Represent the company in legal proceedings
- Stay abreast of changes in laws that affect the company and the industrial sector
- Deliver training to company staff on legal matters and compliance
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicant will have the following skills/experience:
- A specialist in commercial law with a minimum of 5 years' PQE
- UK qualified Solicitor with valid practising certificate
- Strong understanding of the legal landscape and compliance requirements in the industrial sector
- Proven ability to think commercially and apply your legal knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way
- Familiar with managing stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
- Able to work autonomously to proactively manage and mitigate legal risk
- Confidence to challenge decisions and actions when required in a respectful and measured manner
- Able to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
