About the team and the role:

eBay is seeking an inquisitive, flexible and collaborative professional to be primarily based in Berlin or London and to serve as legal counsel supporting eBay's business across the globe. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a fun legal team and work at the forefront of helping to deliver e-commerce experiences! This role can be based in either Dreilinden, Germany or Richmond, UK with a hybrid way of working.

What You Will Accomplish:

  • In this role, you will primarily support the International Markets Legal Team working closely with the Business and with specialists in the broader Legal Team;
  • You will provide business-focused legal advice on commercial, marketing and regulatory matters and support new projects and the rollout of new site functionalities globally;
  • In addition, this role is intended to cover for short- or long-term leaves (due to sabbaticals, parental leaves etc.) across the world. This requires high flexibility and willingness to spend significant time in other eBay offices after an initial training period;
  • You will also interact regularly with functional groups within the Company, including Finance, Marketing, Tax, Information Security, Privacy, etc.;
  • Drive and complete numerous projects independently and in a pragmatic manner.

What You Will Bring:

  • Law degree and admission to the bar;
  • 0-2 years of legal work experience a plus;
  • Excellent English skills, any other language a plus (especially French and/or German);
  • Understanding of online services and curiosity about technology;
  • Great teammate with open personality, sound judgment and a good sense of humor;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
