Job Description

WHO WE ARE?

Recently founded by Craig Leigh, a dual qualified barrister and solicitor, 8PP Barristers & Associates Ltd is a dedicated and streamlined advocacy and litigation service, operating as a modern alternative to the self-employed bar. We are looking to build a team of people who have a passion for advocacy and other ancillary services traditionally provided by barristers practising in self-employed practise but who want the security, consistency and growth opportunities that employed practise brings. To help us achieve this aim we are interested in speaking to candidates including barristers and solicitors who possess their higher rights of audience and hold a particular interest in advocacy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

8PP Barristers & Associates Ltd is seeking experienced barristers and solicitors who are specialist in advocacy, advisory and drafting services, to handle instructions in complex civil litigation; primarily in the fields of financial mis-selling, consumer credit and banking, residential landlord and tenant, costs and civil litigation funding, and personal injury.

The ideal candidate will possess strong post-qualification experience of dealing with various types of civil litigation and be technically excellent, with demonstrable analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.

This is an excellent opportunity for barristers and solicitors alike to work in a salaried environment, in a fast paced, rapidly growing business. Craig has built up strong connections with a number of law firms operating in the North West and beyond which means 8PP Barristers & Associates Ltd has a solid client base which is consistently growing, meaning there is vast opportunity for a varied and technically challenging practise.

Successful candidates will be required to be proactive in developing litigation strategies both alone and as part of a team, as well as being comfortable providing support to junior and new members of the 8PP team.
