Legal Counsel (2-4PQE)

I am exclusively partner with a market-leading global investment firm that is considered a prominent player in the investment management industry, leveraging its expertise and international presence to deliver high-quality service to its clients.
My client seeks a highly talented fund and/or corporate 2-4PQE lawyer to join their private markets team. This is a unique opportunity where you can support a broad range of work, from fund structuring to negotiating commercial agreements and offering corporate support to the broader business.
They are looking to add a dynamic lawyer with a background in funds from a leading city firm or an in-house at a recognized asset management firm.
This role will report directly to the Head of the Legal and be offered a broad remit from the outset.
Managing all legal aspects of the fund and product structuring process
Managing the workstream of new product launches and investment initiatives
Acting as an important advisor to the investment desk on appropriate fund and management structure
Negotiate and review agreements with service providers and clients, including distribution agreements, investment management agreements, and marketing agreements
Assisting with transactional activity, such as reviewing shareholder agreements and managing co-investment transactions between funds and accounts
Proven experience gained PQE in private/alternative investment funds team at a Leading City firm or within an asset management firm
~ Understanding of a range of private funds and investment structuring (including Luxembourg structures) across different private asset classes
~ Experience with regulated fund structures such as LTAF, ELTIF, and other structures for private assets will be beneficial but not essential
