Forseven, a revolutionary company looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel specializing in Procurement and Commercial law to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and implementing complex supplier contracts, providing strategic advice to sourcing teams, and managing legal aspects of procurement operations.
This role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Warwick. The Legal team is newly created and still evolving so there will potentially be opportunity for the successful candidate to become a permanent member of the team.

What you'll do:
- Negotiate and implement complex production and non-production supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the large sourcing team on process management, from supplier due diligence and nomination to contract implementation.
- Develop and implement policies and processes to streamline procurement operations and ensure consistency and efficiency in contract management.
- Lead buyer training sessions to enhance team capabilities and enable continuous improvement in procurement practices.
- Oversee contract management systems to ensure accurate documentation, tracking, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Provide legal advice to the business on supplier risk monitoring, including assessing and mitigating risks associated with supplier relationships.
- Facilitate dispute resolution processes between the company and suppliers, striving for fair and timely resolutions while protecting the company's interests.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years’ PQE qualified solicitor with experience in commercial contracts and procurement.
- Experience of complex supply chain management in multiple jurisdictions.
- Automotive or technology sector experience preferred.
- Experience in leadership and management of others.
- Innovative with digital expertise.
- Commercial and collaborative but with ability to challenge.
- Proven track record of negotiating and drafting complex supplier contracts.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, including supplier due diligence, nomination, and contract management.
- Experience developing and implementing policies and processes to enhance procurement operations.
- Familiarity
with contract management systems and tools.
