LGV Tank Driver - (Class 1 or Class 2)

Glasgow, G51 3HZ
Salary : £15.00 to £15.50 per hour, depending on experience
Contract:
Full time, Permanent
Hours : 39 hours per week + Overtime rates!
You will be part of our tank cleaning / drain cleaning team working all over the country. You will be deployed to a variety of industry sectors undertaking a variety work within the scope of our machines.
LGV Tanker Driver - The Role
Merkland Tank are looking for an LGV Driver with Vac Tanker / Jet Vac Recycler experience who will be responsible for a variety of tasks outside your vehicle, driving is only part of this excellent opportunity.
You will be part of our tank cleaning / drain cleaning team working all over the country. You will be deployed to a variety of industry sectors undertaking a variety work within the scope of our machines.
Responsibilities;
Working as part of the team, you'll have responsibility for setting up hoses and setting up safely on customer sites to support your tank and drain cleaning colleagues and working as part of the cleaning team.
You will be a part of a team working on essential infrastructure at commercial sites across mostly Scotland.
Driver daily checks on vehicle and plant
Ensure plant is operated in a safe and legal manner
Setting up and stripping out job
Operating Vacuum tankers, Liquid Ring tankers, and Jet Vac / Recycler
Removal and disposal of waste and clean out tanker.
Working away from home when required with generous overnight allowance
LGV Tanker Driver - What we need from you
Skills & Experience - Essential
You must be an experienced Tanker / Jet Vac / Recycler Operator
You must be physically fit and healthy, able to pass a confined space medical
and able to get security clearance at MOD sites.
Along with your Driver CPC and tachograph knowledge, you'll need experience of working with drainage systems
LGV 1 or 2 and Driver CPC

The below skills are advantageous but full training will be given to the right candidate.
