Location: Coleraine, Northern Ireland

Hourly Rate: £11.91 for the first 12 weeks; £12.59 thereafter

Contract Type: Flexible Hours as Required

We are seeking Casual Lifeguards to play a pivotal role within our team in Coleraine. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to contribute to a community-centric public sector organisation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Supervision: Oversee the daily operations at the centre, ensuring a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Safety Enforcement: Rigorously enforce health and safety regulations, alongside standard operating procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all patrons.
  • Cleanliness Maintenance: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness with a structured schedule of daily cleaning duties.
  • Training Compliance: Engage in mandatory training covering lifesaving techniques, first aid, and health and safety protocols. Attain and maintain a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, renewable every two years.


Essential Criteria:

  • Bronze Medallion Qualification or Equivalent: Must possess this certification or a comparable qualification to ensure essential life-saving skills.
  • Physical Fitness: Requires a high level of fitness to effectively perform duties and respond to emergencies.


Desirable Criteria:

  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification: Preference given to candidates holding this certification.
  • First Aid Certification: A valid first aid qualification is advantageous.
