Great opportunity to join well established wholesaler based in Northwest offering professional lighting and control systems. (Downlights, LED, Floodlights, Sensors, Emergency lighting and more).
What To Expect:
As a lighting designer you’ll be working closely with other survey engineers and will report directly to Commercial director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce effective design solutions using creative problem solving
- Act as a project lead when appropriate to ensure deadlines are met
- Responsible for the completion and checking of drawings and other supporting documentation
- Work closely with our purchasing teams and suppliers to obtain accurate part costings.
- Work with marketing to help develop promotional materials
What You’ll Need:
- Experience in Design or Engineering discipline
- Ideally 2+ years of commercial experience
- Have good working knowledge of CAD, and 2D manufacturing drawings
- We use Relux but if you are familiar with another package then it is generally straightforward to covert
- Knowledge of the lighting/electrical industry
- A creative and considered approach to problem solving, following clear design processes with pragmatic approach to balance cost and value
- Proven experience of presenting ideas and results to both technical and non-technical colleagues including senior management.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate with work of others
- Ability to work independently as well as within the wider team
