Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lighting Design Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of electrical systems for outdoor lighting infrastructure, including columns, masts, and high-performance exterior lighting fixtures. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, proficiency in relevant design software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs and specifications for columns, masts, and high-performance exterior lighting systems.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analyse technical requirements for new projects.
- Evaluate the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of electrical components and systems.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure materials and components.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in exterior lighting design.
- ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma is desirable.
- Proficiency in AGI 32/ Dialux.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Package:
- Salary up to £38,000 – £43,000 per annum

- Weekly hours are 37½. 7:30am-4:15pm Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-12pm Friday
- WFH (in office once every week/ two weeks)
