We are looking for a Linux support professional who is looking to take a step up into an out and out administrator to join this multi-sector technology company based in Cambridge. This is a new hire for the business, due to overall business growth so it’s an exciting time to join a business who is thriving!
You will be working closely with the businesses other 2 Linux administrators, so this is an opportunity for someone to really increase their technical skillset further, learning from people who have been with the business for a number of years! Despite all the training and learning opportunities, we still need someone who is experienced providing Linux support and has some networking knowledge.
Graduates and overseas candidates will not be considered for this role. All candidates must have the full right to work in the UK without any restrictions!
The Role:
- physical and virtual Linux environment
- implementation and support
- improvement of systems and overall infrastructure
- log monitoring
- any security threats
- processes where suitable
Requirements:
- Linux support experience (supported physical and virtual servers)
- implementation and support (TCP/IP)
- desktop deployments
- a reasonable commutable distance of Cambridge and happy to work in the office c4 days a week
- right to work in the UK without any restrictions
This role could suit a current 3rd line Linux support engineer, or a junior Linux Sys Admin or similar!
