Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer – 3 months + - Remote Working – Up to £60 per hour umbrella – Home Counties
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in theHome Countieswho are recruiting for aLocum Adult Social Care Lawyerto join their department. This opportunity is looking for full time hours only and is offered for an initial period of 3 months with a strong likelihood of extension thereafter. It can be worked on a remote working basis, however if candidates live within a commutable distance from the Council and are happy to attend the office from time to time, this can also be considered.
You will be required also be required to attend hearings however, the hearings are remote so no travel will be involved for court.
They will also be a Solicitor or Barrister with prior experience working within Local Government carrying a full and varied caseload of Adult Social Care matters and Mental Health.
Working Requirements/Duties:
• Understand the legal framework and case law relating to, Adult Social Care and Health
• Understand the issues facing Local Authorities, legal service departments and Lawyers
• Provide legal advice to Local Authority clients in one or more of the areas above on complex matters
• Devise Consent orders and 21 A’s mainly using CVP and Teams
• Attend the office on the first and second day to complete an induction, meet the team and collect IT equipment
• Candidates ideally should be confident with time recording and case management systems but also in conducting their own advocacy
An hourly rate of up to£60 per houris offered for this position dependent on experience level.
