Role: Locum Pharmacist

We are seeking a Locum Pharmacist to join our team in Milton Keynes, offering an hourly rate of £25 - £30. As a dynamic leader, you will have the opportunity to spearhead various projects aimed at enhancing patient care and expanding our service offerings on a national level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • National Care Home Service Development: Innovate and implement a comprehensive care home service through our Distant Selling Pharmacy (DSP) platform.

  • Pharmacy First Initiative: Take the lead in expanding our Pharmacy First services nationwide, driving improved access to essential healthcare services.

  • Healthcare Collaboration: Forge and nurture relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors and carers, to provide support with compliance aids across the country.

  • Private Pharmacy Prescribing: Drive the development of our private pharmacy prescribing business through our website, ensuring accessibility and convenience for our patients.

  • Procedure and Compliance Enhancement: Assist in managing and reviewing written procedures, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Prescribing Pharmacist: Must possess a clear specialisation area and relevant qualifications.

  • Pharmacy First Experience: Previous involvement in training and consultations for Pharmacy First services is preferred.

  • Compliance Aid Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with compliance aids, ensuring patient safety and adherence.

  • Care Home Service Background: Experience in the development and management of care home services, ensuring tailored and effective healthcare delivery.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to interpret pharmacy regulations, conduct risk assessments, adjust pharmacy processes, and document written procedures to ensure compliance.

  • Patient Review Expertise: Experience in conducting patient reviews, analysing trends, and implementing interventions to optimize patient outcomes.

  • NMR Experience: Familiarity with NMRs (Nominal Roll Management) and their application in patient care, ensuring accurate and efficient medication management.
