We are Currently Recruiting a Commercial and Domestic Loss adjuster for London and the Surrounding Areas for our Clients who are International Loss Adjusting Market Leaders.

The General Property team are at the heart of our business: Managing property claims ranging from minor damage to major to catastrophic events. As a Commercial and Domestic Loss Adjuster, you’ll be assigned your region around London and a mixed claims portfolio. The role will be home-based with regular regional travel required with occasional overnight stays depending upon location.

You’ll be supporting our valued clients in proactively handling and settling a mixed caseload of property claims, up to the value of £100k. These can vary in complexity so it’s essential that you put yourself in the shoes of the policyholder, appreciate each situation differently by investigating each claim with tact and a calm manner, establishing the facts, and policy details and working towards a resolution.


Role: Loss Adjuster

Salary: up to £60,000 per annum + bonus + Company Car/Allowance

Location: London (and surrounding Areas)

Duration: Permanent


We’re looking for talent: Experienced Adjusters who enjoy providing solutions. Previous Loss Adjusting or complex high-value Claims Handling experience is essential for this role. Additionally, we’d like you to have -


  • CII or CILA-qualified, however candidates who are qualified by experience are just as welcome to apply, however, we do seek candidates with a commitment to achieve their qualifications.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of FCA procedures and TCF initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance market
  • Extensive technical knowledge within the adjusting arena
  • Understanding of Client SLA compliance/productivity/quality requirements
  • Proven proficient working knowledge of scoping software and handheld device use.
  • Good negotiation skills – for arranging appointments when required, alternative accommodation and explaining information when there is pushback on settlement.
  • To understand what matters to the customer and to put this first – putting yourself in their shoes.
  • Good IT skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Flexibility in travelling
  • Full UK driving licence


Key Responsibilities


  • Determines policy status and coverage; reviews appropriate policies and endorsements for coverage, limits, and deductibles; immediately notifies manager of any claim that may be outside of the assigned scope of handling, level, or authority
  • Makes prompt contact with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and other parties involved in the loss to set expectations, develop an action plan, and perform an initial exposure assessment
  • Investigating to determine coverage, liability, and damages, including recorded statements and coordination of field inspections or experts when necessary based on the Company SLA
  • Ensures regular and timely follow-up and brings claims to prompt and appropriate conclusions while keeping the customer informed throughout the life cycle of the claim process
