The Role: Heating is the largest source of total UK carbon emissions when including industrial processes. To enable organisations and policy makers to develop and deploy decarbonisation solutions, we are seeking to grow our expanding team.
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience and abilities across core consultancy skills, including project management, bid writing and technical project delivery. From a technical perspective, we are looking for candidates with a robust understanding of low carbon heat options (e.g. heat pumps), energy systems and energy efficiency measures.
You will be involved in a range of tasks, including managing complex research, technical report writing, leading bids, and preparing and delivering presentations to/for clients.
You will be involved in multiple projects at once. This will be for a range of client types, including policy makers in the UK and internationally.
You will be flexible, comfortable under pressure, have a strong work ethic, and an ability to learn technical work in a range of areas rapidly. You will be a self-starter, highly organised, and share our commitment to a high quality of work. A personal interest in, and commitment to, environmental and sustainability issues is expected.
Experience Profile:
Strong technical understanding of low carbon heating technologies, energy systems and energy efficiency measures.
Strong understanding of UK and EU policies for low carbon heating and buildings
Excellent research & data analysis skills, including social research skills
Demonstrable experience of strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing and client presentation
Ability to conduct strategic conversations at a senior level, including assessing needs, developing technical propositions, and taking clients on their sustainability journey.

Experience working within Consultancy business model / Experience of having contributed to, or led successful business development activity / Technical understanding of low carbon technologies
