They are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to add a talented Macro Strategist to their dynamic team in London. This company is renowned for providing top-tier tactical macro and strategic investment analysis to a discerning institutional clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and publish insightful and thematic macroeconomic research that resonates with the firm’s high standards.
  • Deliver strategic analysis and forecasts across various asset classes, focusing on uncovering actionable investment opportunities.
  • Engage directly with hedge funds and other institutional clients, providing them with tailored, impactful research and recommendations.
  • Analyze complex macro data and indicators, producing research reports with a time frame ranging from one month to one year, with a sweet spot around three months.
  • Work collaboratively with other strategists and analysts to continually enhance the research product.
  • Communicate findings through a variety of channels, including written reports, presentations, and client meetings, ensuring clarity and precision.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years of experience as a macro strategist, rates strategist, or in a similar on-desk role at an investment bank or independent research provider.
  • Proficient in working with data to interpret and analyze complex economic trends (though not primarily a data analyst role).
  • Demonstrated success in publishing high-quality research and strategic insights.
  • Extensive experience and strong relationships with hedge funds, understanding their unique needs and delivering tailored research.
  • Thematic thinker capable of expressing views across multiple asset classes, even if past experience is concentrated in one area.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A strategic thinker with a passion for macroeconomics and financial markets.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build and sustain key relationships.
  • Highly analytical with meticulous attention to detail.

Location and Benefits:

  • This role is based in London, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • An exciting opportunity to join a firm in growth mode, backed by strong private equity, with significant career advancement potential.
  • Exposure to top-tier institutional clients and the chance to make a tangible impact within a prestigious research provider.
