Woking - £50k - £65k Plus Bonus

Scope:

Permanent position to join a globally leading pharmaceutical company, managing 3 departments including electrical, mechanical and calibration. Leading a team of 5 direct reports, ensuring and maintaining UK and company regulations, biosecurity, and GMP standards to able the reliable and safe operation of the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a disciplined and coordinated approach to all maintenance activities on the Pirbright site to provide a professional service to the customer and continuously improves equipment reliability and availability.
  • Focus the team on value-add activities and development initiatives.
  • Develop implement TPM based tools and techniques to ensure effectiveness of department activity whilst respecting the obligation of critical maintenance
  • Manage and track costs to ensure delivery against budget
  • Oversee maintenance contracts and ensure both compliance and effectiveness
  • Monitor team performance on physical data and metrics and provide guidance and coaching for improvement.
  • Develop and champion effective fault finding and problem-solving techniques on all equipment systems to minimize business impact and improve equipment reliability.

About You:

  • 3-5 years’ experience leading and working to GMP or a highly regulated facility.
  • Solid understanding of sterile and/or hygienic processes.
  • Sound experience of TPM and relevant tools/method and practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication and man management skills
  • In-depth experience of production of veterinary/human medicines within a quality assurance environment
  • Strong maintenance background, degree qualified in relevant discipline with experience in previous senior post
  • Deep knowledge of GMP regulations (and biosafety if possible), as well as main and principles of the operational excellence (lean sigma, etc.)
  • Leadership, strength of proposal and conviction
  • Capable to innovate and to challenge the current processes, organisations.
  • Capable to adapt to an ever-changing and to manage his/her teams through change cycles
  • Good IT skills (MS Office, Minitab, Visio
