Whether you're a technician in one of our workshops, on the road as part of our Mobile Team, working directly with our customers or part of our support services behind the scenes, at Pullman every colleague plays a part in keeping critical vehicles moving. This is an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Controller to join our team. This role will be a 50/50 split between working in a management/supervisory position and being a semi-productive HGV Technician. As a Workshop Controller, you’ll play a part in keeping some of the UK’s biggest brands on the road, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer and employee relations to ensure that the workshop achieves its financial, productivity, service, compliance and quality performance standards. As a key part of the on-site leadership team, ensure that the workshop operates in line with our safe systems of work, and all legislative and H&S processes are followed. Support the day-to-day operation by effectively planning and managing resources in-line with set budgets. Be active in your coordination of technician workload, prioritisation, and adherence to process & policy. Actively participate in the service, repair & maintenance of our customer's fleet. Management and control of all parts use within the workshop ensuring complete adherence to process within the workshop. Ensure that the Customer’s Operator Licence obligations are met by utilising compliance systems and ensuring there is a proactive approach to asset compliance standards. Experience in the repair & maintenance of large commercial vehicles Experience working with or for major commercial vehicle manufacturers. Understanding of Workshop operations and VOSA's "Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness." Experience of managing and improving Key Performance Indicators Balances the day to day thinking and can assess the commercial implications Demonstrates commercial awareness Full UK Driving licence with ability to travel to other sites within the UK as needed We work with colleagues to promote and support health & wellbeing where it matters most to them, and we have an Employee Assistance Programme, available to colleagues 24/7.
