Primary Purpose of the Position


Provide a professional maintenance service across the factory to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation. Improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime while adhering to company procedures and legislation.


Main Responsibilities and Duties


Conduct PPM, breakdown, and planned maintenance on all equipment.
Accurately record maintenance activities in the CMMS.
Follow instructions from Line Manager and Shift Manager.
Attain working knowledge of all production equipment.
Work as part of a team or independently.
Follow and improve maintenance instructions and protocols.
Use maintenance facilities and factory systems safely.
Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the Maintenance Department.
Ensure tasks meet Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
Inform relevant managers of asset breakdowns and urgent spare part needs.
Use spare parts resources according to company procedures.
Consult with managers before modifying machines or systems.
Continuously develop skills and knowledge.
Provide shift cover and work overtime if needed.
Maintain excellent communication with all functions.
Manage contractors safely when required.


Authority and Accountability


Achieve maintenance objectives.
Maintain high safety and work standards.
Complete all documentation accurately.
Implement and maintain 5s principles and high housekeeping standards.
Education and Training
Essential: Maintenance background and experience in medium to heavy engineering environments.
Preferable: Qualified in an engineering discipline.
Beneficial: Prior robotics experience; electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge; CMMS experience; PLC and control system knowledge.
Ability to create Risk Assessments.
Strong time management, organisational, planning, and communication skills.
Retraining available as needed.


Experience


Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance environment.
Ability to contribute positively within days.
