Job Description

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical fault finding, with a keen ability to minimize downtime and maximize equipment productivity. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maintenance and continuous improvement. The role would be a 4 days on 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts working 6-6 then followed by 4 days off.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
  • Utilize technical drawings and electrical schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ensure all repairs are executed promptly, cost-effectively, and to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with team members to minimize line downtime and optimize equipment productivity.
  • Maintain a high level of computer literacy to manage maintenance records and reporting.
  • Implement planned and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Understand and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Complete and submit reporting feedback efficiently and accurately.
  • Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods to identify and resolve underlying issues.
  • Use and manage Maintenance Management Systems (experience advantageous).


Qualifications:

  • Apprentice-trained with a minimum of NVQ Level 3.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience with PLC systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and utilize technical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Good level of computer literacy.
  • Understanding of planned and predictive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with RCA methods.
  • Prior use of a maintenance management system is advantageous.
