Maintenance Engineer
Location: Coventry
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week both days and nights
Salary: £42,000 shift allowance included
Manpower is currently recruiting engineers with a mechanical bias for a company that has recently secured a contract to maintain all equipment for a major logistics provider. This role involves ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of mechanical systems and equipment, adhering to preventive maintenance schedules, and performing reactive repairs as necessary. Candidates should have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in maintaining industrial machinery.
Scope of the role:
Reporting to the External Centre Manager (ECM) and Team Leader work as directed to complete Maintenance and repair and return to service breakdowns in a timely fashion supporting the requirements of the Customer (DHL)
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the Team Leader in completion of PPMs and complete work as directed.
- Attend breakdowns and faults in a timely fashion and repair or escalate as required.
- Identify ways to reduce MTTR (Mean Time To repair) and increase MTBF (Mean Time between Failure) and support ECM in implementation of best practices to achieve this.
- Understand, and work always in line with Fives Values and Directives; specifically following the highest standards of health and safety.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested.
- Be available to undertake training and upskill as required.
Key skills requirements:
- Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- Ability to work alone or part of a team.
- Able to manage own time and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to learn, be flexible as required to support operation and ECM
- Good communication skills
