On offer are salaries circa £42,000 - £48,000 dependent on experience.

Role Overview:


As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our commercial contract in London. Your responsibilities will include planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, along with general facilities management duties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine PPM on electrical/mechanical equipment according to schedules and asset lists.
  • Address reactive tasks promptly, while actively seeking areas for improvement.
  • Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain operational status.
  • Maintain inventory of spares for maintenance and reactive works, providing estimated timescales for remedial actions.
  • Keep systems (e.g., eLogbook’s) up to date, ensuring accurate data capture for PPM and reactive tickets.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork for reactive and breakdown works promptly, forwarding it to the contract administrator without delay.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Smart staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Supervise subcontractors' works on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety practices.
  • Perform tasks with proper H&S awareness and implementation.
  • Adhere to contractual KPIs/SLAs and ensure a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate uniform and PPE.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Must hold recognized industry qualifications in Electrical (BS7671 18th Edition), Electrical (C&G2391 Inspection and Testing), or C&G Mechanical & HVAC.
