Maintenance Planning EngineerAdren White is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Maintenance Planning Engineer. Our client is a leading aviation company with extensive experience in helicopter sales, bespoke completions, maintenance, and spare support.Job Description:The Maintenance Planning Engineer is responsible for managing maintenance and materials planning requirements, producing line and base maintenance work packs, reviewing maintenance work packs prior to aircraft departure, and updating the Maintenance Information System (MIS) as required.Main Responsibilities:* Follow company procedures to ensure compliance with all regulations.* Liaise with the Maintenance Team and other departments to ensure a common understanding of maintenance capabilities and capacities.* Enter technical log utilisation data into the MIS.* Review allocated aircraft maintenance status to ensure compliance with the approved maintenance program.* Prepare and review maintenance variations, identify provisional maintenance dates based on projected utilisation, and keep the in-house maintenance planning calendar updated.* Review material requirements for scheduled maintenance, raise reservations and purchase requisitions for required materials.* Confirm maintenance dates with owners/operators through Customer Support Managers.* Liaise with the Airworthiness Department to accomplish ADs, SBs, EOs, and other airworthiness requirements.* Raise scheduled maintenance work packs, ensure required materials and documentation are available, and review work packs to minimize aircraft downtimes.* Ensure all planned maintenance has been accomplished before aircraft departure and liaise with Customer Support Managers as needed.* Issue short-term maintenance items forecasts for each aircraft.* Reset maintenance tasks on the MIS.* Provide support across the CAMO team.* Continually improve airworthiness processes and procedures to enhance overall efficiency of the Planning Department.Knowledge and Skills:Essential:* Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance and material planning requirements related to Part CAMO / A8-25 and Part 145 / A8-23.* Methodical approach with acute attention to detail.* Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.* Flexible work ethic focused on meeting deadlines.* Strong team leadership and proactive problem-solving abilities.* High computer literacy and competence with Google Docs.* Effective communication skills at all organizational levels, both written and verbal.Desirable:* Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software for maintenance and materials planning.Education, Qualifications, or Training:Essential:* Minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C or above, or equivalent recognised qualifications (e.g., NVQ, BTEC).Desirable:* Aviation-related degree or equivalent.* Aviation human factors training.* Recognized Part CAMO Training Course.* Recognized Part 145 Training Course.Additional Requirements:* Due to the nature of this position, DBS Security Clearance and compliance with Export Compliance Regulations are required
