Job Description

My client is looking for experienced Maintenance Supervisors who are interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. The successful candidate will supervise the maintenance employees and contractors to ensure the site operates safely at all times and within the guidelines of company policies and procedures. Working at one of their key sites, Long Marston, the candidate will be part of a team under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Maintenance Manager.Key Responsibilities:Front-line maintenance contractor safety managementRisk assessment of maintenance jobs by staff/contractorsEnsure safety and housekeeping in workshop and warehousesComplete an agreed target number of safety conversations per monthPerform toolbox talks with direct reportsAdopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, driving improvement in Health and SafetyLiaise and maintain regular contact with the Maintenance ManagerProvide holiday/sickness/absence cover for the Maintenance ManagerComplete performance reviews for direct reportsSupport and develop maintenance team membersMaintenance:Create and administer the weekly plan (mechanical/electrical, corrective/preventive)Maintain warehouses and booking in/out of partsCoordinate suppliers, including raising POs for parts and servicesEnsure availability of parts/critical sparesAbility to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance if requiredPerform such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably requireComply with all company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety, and CommunityKey Skills/Competencies:Good organisational skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyGood interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, flexible, and adaptableIntegrity and confidentialityComputer, written, and verbal communication skillsProven track record of managing and developing a small to medium teamAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to manage staffQualifications:Excellent knowledge of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety legislationICT skills including Microsoft OfficeWith a promote-from-within philosophy and a variety of programs available to support continuous learning, my client offers the opportunity for a rewarding career.
