Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the maintenance operations across multiple commercial sites in the Kent area, ensuring that all mechanical and electrical systems are functioning optimally. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of mobile maintenance technicians.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Maintenance Operations:
- Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and other critical infrastructure.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Site Management:
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor the condition of facilities and identify maintenance needs.
- Manage and prioritize maintenance requests from commercial clients.
- Coordinate with site managers to minimize disruption to business operations during maintenance activities.
- Technical Expertise:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards and in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., 18th Edition, Gas Safe, F-Gas) are highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mechanical and electrical maintenance role.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Proven track record of managing maintenance operations across multiple sites.
- Skills:
- Strong technical skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Other Requirements:
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel across the Kent area.
- Ability to respond to emergency call-outs as required.
