Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician? Do you want to play a crucial role for a global manufacturer? Our client is seeking multiple Maintenance Technicians to join their well-established team in Glenrothes. Roles & Responsibilities



  • Perform effective repairs to mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Support Planned Preventative Maintenance system and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Modify and improve machinery and plant infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of HSE working competencies and procedures.
  • Handle materials safely, prioritising environmental and safety concerns.
  • Adhere to site Permit to Work systems and prescribed controls.
  • Assess risks associated with work and implement adequate precautions.
  • Contribute to engineering drawings and documentation management.
  • Support process improvements and adapt to changes in working practices.
  • Supervise trainees and contractors.
  • Maintain high standards of personal cleanliness and housekeeping.
  • Conduct shift handovers and act as deputy for lead hand when necessary.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Apprentice trained or relevant Mechanical/ Electrical qualification (ONC/ HNC)
  • Relevant job experience in multi-skilled disciplines.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable.
  • Experience in Cable/Fibre Optic extrusion industry desirable.


Skills



  • Proficiency in safe systems of work, fault finding, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and amend technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with routine preventative maintenance.
  • Strong health, safety, and environmental understanding.
  • Self-motivated with a drive for improvement.
  • Experience with risk assessments and safe working procedures.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and ability to work independently.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.


Shift Pattern


Rotation of 3 weeks

  • Week 1 - 3 x 12 hour shifts day shift (Wed, Thurs & Fri)
  • Week 2 - 3 x 12 hour shifts night shift (Mon, Tues, Wed)
  • Week 3 - 4 x 12 hour shifts (Mon, Tues day shift/ Thurs, Fri night shift)
