Job Description

Contract Personnel are pleased to be working with a Beccles based client who is looking for two (2) Technicians to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will come from a similar background and be comfortable carrying out the following duties: Responsibilities: • Tool changing and fault finding on all processes involved in the production of Flexible Tubes. • Servicing and preparing Tooling / Printing Plates/ inks etc for tool changes. • Basic servicing and cleaning of all machinery and resolving technical issues. • Carry out post production tasks as and when required. • Ensure that the work area is safe, tidy and clean during and at the end of each shift. • Carry out administration and reporting as necessary. • Comply with quality standards as set by the Company. Essential Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge: • Technical qualification • Clear and proven competence of working in an engineering environment. • The ability to work on one's own initiative. • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, and at all levels within the Company and with customers. • Confident in challenging existing practices and looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work. • Is conscientious and thorough in all aspects of work responsibilities and has a professional approach to work. • Has a logical and methodical approach to problem solving/fault finding issues. • Ability to listen and take up new skills. • Desire to give a good service, recognising the importance of customer satisfaction on their own work. • Able to follow instruction, to ensure work is completed as required. Desirable: • A degree or equivalent • Plastic Processing Qualification, City and Guilds or equivalent • Production experience, setting various machines and tooling. • Printing experience in flexographic and/or silkscreen processing You may be required to fulfil any other duties as requested by the line manager.
