£40,000 - £45,000

Holden Jones is pleased to be partnering with this very successful service provider based on the Slough Trading Estate as they seek to add a talented and committed Management Accountant to their finance team.

The role focuses on preparation of the monthly reporting pack and variances, for two of the group entities comprising seven P & Ls. Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing/reviewing of monthly journals, accruals and prepayments.
  • Completion of monthly management packs for 2 entity and 7 individual P&Ls consolidated and including variance analysis.
  • To assist with the delivery of accurate periodic P&L
  • To ensure the accounts reflect an accurate cost base by reviewing and understanding variances to budget and last year and accruing and prepaying costs appropriately.
  • To produce variance analysis on key revenue and cost lines with explanations to support variances to budget, forecast and last year.
  • To produce robust balance sheet reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are cleared in a timely fashion.
  • To assist in the forecasting and annual budgeting processes and provide financial support to key business stakeholders.
  • To assist in the production of daily, weekly and periodic reporting as well as management information packs and board papers
  • To produce slides for board meeting and present finance at briefings as and when required
  • To proactively improve and streamlining process to enable improved reporting and efficiency of the month end process.
  • To assist the financial control team with the preparation of statutory financial statements for subsidiaries and relevant supporting work papers for the year end audit
  • To provide financial support to ad-hoc projects as well as any other ad-hoc duties as request by the Finance Business Partner or Financial control team.
As an individual, you will ideally be qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or approaching the completion of your studies. Candidates who are qualified by experience with strong relevant experience will also be considered. You will be bright, ambitious and have excellent communication and inter-personal skills. You must demonstrate a full and comprehensive understanding of the month-end process with an outstanding technical approach.

This role is based in the Slough office with a hybrid option after one month.
