Description:

Hunter Savage are delighted to be partnering with an excellent global organisation, with offices in Belfast, and currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

  • Efficiently manage month-end closures for designated business segments, adhering to company deadlines.
  • Prepare accurate Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, delivering them to finance business partners and P&L owners.
  • Take ownership of associated balance sheet entries, conducting reviews in collaboration with finance business partners and the financial accounting team.
  • Collaborate with finance business partners to establish timelines, frameworks, and templates for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.
  • Ensure precise recording of forecasts and budgets across the finance systems by working closely with P&L owners.
  • Conduct cost analysis to inform decisions related to cost restructuring.
  • Provide analytical support to the central commercial team on new deals/extensions.
  • Perform trend analysis and deliver insightful commentary as needed to enhance management information.

The Person:

  • Finance professional, ideally qualified from a recognised accountancy body, with consideration for part-qualified.
  • Proven working experience in a management accounting environment, showcasing adeptness in financial management practices.
  • Prior industry experience within a global organisation, demonstrating an understanding of the complexities associated with international business operations.
  • Showcase demonstrable examples of effectively managing a robust month-end process, articulating individual contributions to its success.
  • Ability to present financial numbers succinctly, highlighting a talent for clear and concise communication of complex financial information.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Dynamics (D365) and Cognos/TM1 analysis, contributing to enhanced financial data interpretation and reporting would be advantageous.
