MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Our current focus is on helping companies within the UK unlock some of the £5Bn of funds available annually for companies that invest in research and development.
ABOUT THE JOB:
You will work within the Finance team to ensure the effective financial management of the business through financial administration, reporting as well as actively contributing towards planning and strategic growth plans.
You'll play an important role in the ability of the finance team to provide timely and accurate information to the Leadership Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting. Provide insights and recommendations to the Head of Finance based on financial data.
- Management Reporting: Prepare monthly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders. Present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Cost Management: Monitor and analyse costs across various departments.
- Month-end Close: Own month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Financial Systems: Utilise financial systems and tools effectively to streamline processes and improve accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Collections Management: Sending regular reminders to customers about upcoming or overdue payments. Developing and implementing strategies for collecting overdue payments, including follow-up calls and emails.
- Studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
