The Opportunity

Olsam are looking for a Management Accountant to turbocharge our month end reporting. Working within our finance team – you’ll be responsible for leading in the preparation of our month end management accounts, as well as supporting on budget analysis with key stakeholders and producing figures and narrative for our monthly board pack. This is a key role at Olsam, working across all our global brands & geographies. It is a crucial role in supporting Olsam to drive profitability as we continue our rapid growth journey.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the delivery of monthly management accounts for the business, ensuring all month-end items are efficiently posted, carrying out monthly reconciliations including stock and COGS reconciliation and analysis.
  • Complete and lead ledger reviews, including actual vs budget analysis alongside monthly reviews with key budget holders.
  • Take ownership in preparing and producing monthly board pack, with a primary focus on the P&L and assisting with Balance Sheet and Cashflow, together with insightful commentary into relevant variances against budget.
  • Documenting and updating key controls and processes, helping to increase efficiencies and create better workflows.
  • Support, maintain and improve internal ERP system policies and procedures.
  • Support the business in the development of KPIs for supply chain team and providing insight into performance against these.
  • Assist in the preparation of the financial forecasts and budgets.

About you

  • CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience working within an accounting role
  • Experience in a high-growth start-up (retail, ecommerce and/or multi business unit focus would be desirable).
  • Excellent proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Driven to enhance and improve finance functions.
  • Experience preparing month end, closing working files and management accounts. (Budgeting and forecasting are desirable.)
  • NetSuite experience required
  • Desired experience: Dutch speaking and/or experience working with the Netherlands.
