I'm currently working with a well-established property business based in Manchester who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant into their team. The successful candidate will be reporting into the Senior Management Accountant and the main purpose of this position is to assist in the process of preparing the monthly management accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing timely and accurate management accounts for at least 6 subsidiary companies and this will continue to increase
- Managing accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly revenue recognition and reconciliation
- Recharge of intercompany invoices
- Bank reconciliation
- Variance analysis and investigation into unexpected movement
- Assist in documenting and maintaining finance process and procedures
- Weekly cash email along with working capital analysis
- Assisting in other ad hoc tasks when required and general support to the finance team
Personal Specification:
The ideal Management Accountant will be part qualified working towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification and have demonstratable management accounts experience with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role. The company are looking for someone who is eager to learn and wants to continue their professional development, whilst having the ability to hit the ground running with some aspects of the role and offer ideas for improvement and efficiency.
