Reporting to the Group's Environmental Sustainability team as well as working alongside the Consumer Lending Homes team, you'll collaborate with the business in the development of new customer propositions and criteria, helping customers navigate the choices and costs of greening their homes. You will have responsibility for identifying potential opportunities and solutions that address potential barriers utilising our strong brands and partnerships to support customers to make their homes more energy efficient. You will actively lead the proposition development from concept to market launch, deploying your product and market knowledge to coordinate stakeholders to ensure the propositions deliver against expectations

We currently follow a hybrid way of working with some travel required to London as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the shaping of new to market sustainable finance propositions and partnerships to support decarbonisation of UK residential homes,
  • Working closely with the broader Bank teams to ensure that the propositions are in line with LBG's Sustainability Strategy, utilise the wider Group Capabilities and engaging with external partners as the need arises
  • Build and deliver compelling storyboards to provide senior management with insight and influence prioritisation of key activities
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of market conditions, competitor movements and consumer behaviour
  • Use expertise in sustainability and proposition development to support the definition, shaping and launching of new solutions for retail customers using customer research, market analysis and expert input from across the business areas.
  • Commercial awareness to support development of cases and strategies for the future development of propositions, ensuring that we continue to receive investment in key interventions required for proposition testing and full rollout.
  • Actively drive forward and project manage the shaping of new propositions through to enabling delivery
  • Work collaboratively with other business areas such as Group Corporate Affairs, Change Delivery platform teams, Group Chief Customer Office, Legal and Risk to ensure that all vital partners are engaged
  • Act as an SME for sustainability, building own knowledge about greening residential homes teams whilst taking an interest in the wider challenges facing the banking industry and UK population

Key Skills

  • Expertise on environmental and sustainability issues and their impact on specific sectors, including the financial sector
  • Specialist knowledge - background in Retail banking and or consumer lending familiar with mortgage or consumer lending products and propositions
  • An experienced propositions manager, with experience of developing and shaping new to market propositions and initiatives
  • Change management -Able to utilise effective methods of managing projects and programmes within time and budget constraints
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions to challenge the status quo
