Provide insightful, high-quality analysis, advice and guidance in a specific area of risk, executing control and tailored to senior stakeholder needs. May lead a team of risk specialists and deputise for more senior colleagues
Job Description
Manager - Group Data Risk
Location: London or Bristol - Hybrid working 2 days per week and the rest from home.
The base salary banding for this role is £66,744- £81,576 in London and £57,078 - £69,762 outside of London, depending on experience - plus the benefits listed below.
Additional Package: Annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash allowance, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Where does the role sit?
We re the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) within Lloyds Banking Group! Our mission is to promote, embed and commercialise Data & Analytics practice and culture across our business.
This is an innovative and constantly evolving area within the bank. We love to do things differently in CDAO and are ready to welcome the curious to work at the heart of embedding LBG business and data risk capabilities
What exactly would you focus on as a Manager Group Data Risk
As Manger, Group Data Risk, you will support the growth of LBG data capability. As part of the team, help mitigate risk and aid smooth transition to realise our data driven vision, as we transform the bank in a safe way. Specifically, this role will provide risk management expertise and direction across CDAO business units including engagement on Group Data Risk, supporting fair sustained customer outcomes in the use of data. Working collaboratively to mentor, support, and challenge on Data risk related matters.
In this role your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the strategic approach to assessing Data Risk across LBG
  • Supporting the delivery of Data and Analytics Strategy initiatives
  • Performing risk-based reviews to analyse and assess the maturity of Data Risks and Controls operating across LBG
  • Creating proposals for strengthening and simplifying the Data Control Environment
  • Provide risk insight on Data Risk to LBG business units, CDAO and via data governance
  • Evolving Data Risk MI to enable greater insight

Knowledge of data risk and how this can be applied to the way in which LBG uses data
Confidence in using data and insight to influence and challenge business decisions, technical choices, operating model, and governance gaps impacting data.
Demonstrate a strong awareness of the risk framework, building strength in relationships between the Business Risk, Second Line Risk, Group Internal Audit and Regulators working collaboratively with all parties to resolve outstanding actions.
Demonstrate focus on increasing team understanding of current and emerging regulation and trends impacting data and use of analytics.
Engender an environment to enable development of a high-reaching team and personally demonstrate continuous learning and self-development around agile concepts, data management and or risk management. Exploring new ways of handling risk through automation and using data to support risk management
