Job Description

Manages the effective and efficient delivery of day-to-day operation of Oxford County Paramedic Services and is accountable for organization and delivery of paramedic performance and quality management. This position is recognized as the Deputy Chief of Operations and Performance in sector specific environments.• This position is eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Post-secondary education in paramedicine, health sciences, or related discipline. Ability to meet all qualifications as a Primary Care Paramedic (or higher), as required under the Ambulance Act.• Post-secondary degree in Public or Business Administration, Leadership, or Management.• Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within a unionized environment. Leadershipexperience within health care or other public sector environments is preferred.• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.• Experience with business intelligence and quality improvement software is an asset.• Ability to demonstrate the required competencies for this position in alignment with Oxford County’scompetency framework.• Demonstrated ability to identify and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver programs,services and outcomes.• Clearly demonstrated skills to operationalize strategic concepts.• Knowledge of relevant legislation, acts, statutes and regulations related to municipal and program specificoperations including the Ambulance Act, Coroner’s Act, Highway Traffic Act and Incident ManagementSystems.• Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork, lead and empower teams and guide effective project managementoutcomes.• Valid Ontario driver’s license and a vehicle with insurance is required.
