MANAGING DIRECTOR – THE LENTON CENTRE
The Lenton Centre is a community-based charity in Lenton, Nottingham.
The charity runs a leisure and community centre open 7 days a week offering its users a safe place to swim, workout and meet new people in a supportive encouraging environment.
It welcomes those who live in the wider Nottingham area and are supported by the various workshops and activities delivered at the centre.
The organisation is now looking to appoint an experienced, creative business leader to be Managing Director for both the Lenton Centre and its subsidiary, ‘Quackers’ swim school.
The Managing Director is the most senior manager in the organisation and reports directly to the Trustee Board.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall success of the charity, treading a line between the charity’s passion for community engagement while ensuring its long-term, sustainable future.
The MD will have a broad range of responsibilities including:
All Business Planning and Development activity.
Maintenance and growth of annual grant income.
Financial Management and reporting.
All HR activity for the site and
Marketing and Communications to promote the activity of the centre.
The role is part-time (24 hours), to be worked over 5 days on-site. Some evening and weekend working will be necessary.
