The Role: Our client - a leading sports and entertainment agency - is seeking an experienced, strategic COO / MD to lead their next growth phase. The role requires significant commercial experience in scaling service businesses, with a proven track record of success. While marketing agency experience is a plus, they prioritize strong commercial acumen and leadership skills. The primary focus is to develop and execute business strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets. The ideal candidate is outcome-driven with a solid finance background, able to interpret commercial data swiftly and act decisively. This fast-paced role requires someone who can identify potential issues early and implement proactive, creative solutions. As a key leader, the candidate will mentor the team, fostering a commercial mindset across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Partner with the CEO to provide strategic leadership, inspiring and motivating the team to keep business goals front and centre. Oversee operations to ensure the agency meets its objectives, driving growth and efficiency across all functions. Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance resilience, scalability, and effectiveness. Lead marketing and business development efforts, ensuring lead generation and marketing goals are met. Collaborate with the executive team to set strategic priorities, track progress, and drive key initiatives. Mentor a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of commercial awareness and excellence. Oversee financial management, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial health and sustainability. Ensure compliance with best practices across all commercial arrangements. Build a scalable business model to support consistent, sustainable growth. Skills & Experience: Experience in a similar role within a business of 50+ employees. Proven ability to drive significant EBITDA and turnover growth. Successful track record in achieving ambitious revenue targets. Strong leadership with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent business acumen and strategic decision-making skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
