IN DETAIL

The Goodstuff Managing Partner, Investment is jointly responsible for inspiring and leading Goodstuff’s Investment Department. Sharing the broad departmental remit with one other Managing Partner, Investment, the successful candidate will have responsibility for leading the Broadcast, CTV and Cinema output of the agency. They drive excellence in implementation planning, trading and media owner management and create optimum conditions to achieve shared business, team and client objectives through effective leadership and team management. Experts in AV Investment, they have excellent relationships externally and will build the same internally. The successful candidate will possess strong thought leadership in media buying and seek out new and emerging trends, to work towards being Goodstuff’s external voice in this area. They ensure all of our AV media buying is undertaken with integrity, with the needs of the client put first every time. They embrace inventive media solutions in support of our agency mission, and they embody and role model Goodstuff’s values, ensuring we have happy people, doing great work which delights our clients.

LEADERSHIP

  • Design the department strategy in support of the agency mission and in collaboration with your counterpart
  • Within the Managing Partner cohort, set the tone and pace for the Investment department and specific teams through effective, flexible, situational leadership
  • Motivate and galvanise the department towards the agency mission and shared objectives
  • Facilitate effective, productive and inspiring department and team meetings
  • Ensure consistency of 1:1s and Thrives (Goodstuff’s appraisal framework) throughout the department
  • Role model strong, empathetic leadership
  • Jointly manage resource needs and department people budget
  • Jointly lead on recruitment processes, identifying structural changes and opportunities and coaching and empowering others in the department to support resourcing processes

CRAFT

  • Inspire our agency mission by focussing the team on opportunities to create high profile, award worthy work
  • Maintain excellence in audits
  • Focus team on attention to detail and delivering without error
  • Oversight of the deliverables and overall output of the team
  • Review existing processes and implement new ones to create efficiencies and to enable the team to focus on inventive, award worthy work
  • Set clear, craft-focussed goals linked to the department strategy and agency mission and objectives
  • Lead new business opportunities from an Investment and channel specific perspective
  • Infuse enthusiasm for new business and pitching throughout the department
  • Work collaboratively with the Client Department and senior client/planning leads

CLIENTS

  • Build strong, influential senior client relationships
  • Demonstrate strong relationships with media owners
  • Facilitate focussed and productive media owner meetings with clear outcomes that support our work
  • Provide expertise and objective, strategic advice
  • Contribute to Idea Bombs/Idea Sessions
  • Build a strong external profile to represent Goodstuff’s voice in all areas of media buying via articles, panels and by working in partnership with our Brand and Marketing team

  • Help deliver sustainable profitability across a portfolio of clients
  • Identify opportunities for Otherstuff growth linked to media buying in Broadcast/Cinema
  • Jointly accountable for frictionless financial process across the Department
  • Ensure the Broadcast team are achieving Brilliant Basics of all commercial activity and are meeting finance deadlines
