Manufacturing Engineer - Continuous Improvement
Bolton
Up to £42k
Company bonus of up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year)

The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in spearheading waste and defect reduction initiatives aimed at boosting productivity, aligning with our ambitious goal of tripling production rates while minimizing costs. Collaboration with various departments will be essential to ensure comprehensive awareness of ongoing improvement endeavors across the organization.
Providing leadership, guidance, and support across all levels of Assembly Operations will be a key aspect of the role.
Establish, oversee, and manage Continuous Improvement (CI) reviews, ensuring their effectiveness and longevity.
Facilitate and oversee CI plans to execute corrective and preventive actions efficiently.
Provide support for root cause analysis concerning externally supplied detail products.
Drive reduction of defects within the business, covering concessions, rework, and non-conformances, utilizing 8D/A3 methodology.
Implement process controls and enhance process capability, focusing on critical and significant features as dictated by customer requirements.
Lead and facilitate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for root cause analysis within manufacturing facilities.
Offer technical expertise on Lean tool sets and guide change management initiatives effectively.
Education:
- Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21. AND Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject. OR BEng in relevant Engineering or Science Degree
