Manufacturing Engineer Purchase
12-Month Contract Minimum
Up To £35ph (via Umbrella)
Warwickshire
A longstanding client of ours is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Purchase to join on a long-term contract to help manage suppliers Manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Managing suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.
- Assist with matters around process improvements.
- Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
- Identify and support Cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategy
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
- Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools.
- Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
- Demonstrated passion for process re-design and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing process (Milling, Turning, welding, investment and sand casting, Forging)
- Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
