FAC Technology was formed in April 2011 to conduct molecular-level design and development of materials (including composite materials). In order to do this, the company conducts a broad range of research activities ranging from computational analysis of electron microscope images to full-scale aerospace testing.
The company has developed a portfolio of innovative proprietary materials for industries including aerospace, space, construction and electric vehicles. The company is in the midst of launching an aerospace product (the company is CAA-approved and field trials started in May 2023). It is in the process of negotiating IP licenses across three different industries and has secured a first order for one of its novel materials.
FAC Technology is seeking a dynamic individual with expertise in industrial manufacturing and processing technology. The company is currently scaling production of its composite aerospace product as well as automating key process steps.
The available position is for an expert consultant to support the scale-up and automation development on a part-time basis.
The role demands:

In-depth knowledge of automating production methods
·
Manufacturing experience particularly regarding production scale-up projects
·
Experience in at least one of: automotive, aerospace, FMCG, engineered products
·
Familiarity with suppliers of automated production equipment
·
It is desirable but not essential to have experience of composite material processing technologies
·
Knowledge of powder handling technologies a plus
·
Knowledge of aerospace quality and manufacturing procedures a plus
Remuneration will be competitive and on a day rate basis. The start date is immediate.
