We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and Manufacturing Manager in Redditch.

As Manufacturing Manager, your duties will include:


• Full responsibility for shop floor operations including production and mixing activities within the

manufacturing facility.

• Project leader for CI activities such as Standard Work definition, Problem Solving & Corrective Action, Lead-time Reduction initiatives – implementation VSM and the 8-point Future State criteria.

• Lead 5S deployment across the shop floor.

• Key leader in the creation of natural high performance teams involving Manufacturing, Quality,

Engineering, Production, Planning, Purchasing and Supply Chain to achieve company objectives in safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.

• Work with planning / engineering functions to align production capacity to commercial growth plans.

• Lead team improvement processes across the manufacturing floor to improve safety quality, cost and delivery performance.


What we are looking for in our ideal:


Experience of manufacturing / production engineering processes gained in an FMCG environment.

• Good technical understanding of managing / leading a team.

• Experience of managing Profit & Loss responsibilities for manufacturing.

• Understanding of manufacturing and procurement / supply chain.

• Understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 QMS’.

• Knowledge of modern manufacturing and engineering techniques; 5S, VSM, Problem Solving, Standard Work, Interval Control, TPM and Quick Changeover.

• Lean Practitioner with proven experience of leading implementation teams to deliver measurable results in TPS.

• Can demonstrate relationship building experience establishing high performance teams delivering results.

• Possess strong analytical and planning abilities.

• Change loop leader driven by the energy of change activities to improve quality and profitability

performance.

• Proficient in working with / utilising Lean tools; 5S, Pull Systems, Standard Work, TPM and problem solving (8D / 5Y).

• Project Management experience delivering change initiatives.

• Effective organiser, who can cope with multiple priorities.

• Excellent communicator and teamwork skills.

• Good working knowledge of MS Office and PC literacy
